How do I signup for a Merge Membership?
Merge Membership is free and is currently through referral only in communities that we currently support.
If you're interested in joining Merge, fill out the interest form. We will contact you to let you know when we launch in your market and to be considered as a Merge Community Ambassador!
I was invited to Merge Local. Can you tell me more about Merge?
Congratulations, you've been chosen! We'd love to have you join the Merge Movement. Membership is free.
Merge Local is a community of members and merchants investing their dollars to power their local economies. We make it easier for all members to buy, sell, and gift locally.
Membership is currently invite only, although we are opening up new communities and hope to expand this soon!
You can sign up for your Merge Membership through the invite link provided to you.
Does it cost anything to join Merge?
No, Merge Membership is free! You can sign up, create a live profile in your community, search local businesses, and list items in the marketplace - all for free.
What is the Merge Pledge?
Members who join Merge want to buy, sell, and gift locally more easy.
The Merge Pledge is a commitment to investing your dollars in your local community.
When you sign up with Merge, you can pledge a weekly or monthly amount to spend 100% locally. Signing up for the Local Card can help you easily fund your local pledge commitment and track where you spend on local merchants and locally sold goods.
What events are available to Merge Members?
Getting to know your community and local businesses is core to our mission. Merge Local partners with local organizations to create local meet and greets, buy nothing events, and merchant fairs to help you invest and buy locally.

How do you select merchants listed in the Merge Local community?
Merge Local identifies and verifies locally owned and operated businesses by using data from local chambers of commerce, open city data platforms, and local business license information.
All businesses listed in Merge Local are owned and operated in communities that we currently support.
We are currently not offering listings to businesses that are part of larger chains or franchises.
How is Merge Local different from other commerce platforms and marketplaces?
You have a lot of options when it comes to buying what you need...and want.
Only Merge Local provides you with the easiest experience to find what you need within your local community. Whether through certified local business listings or our marketplace to buy/sell/gift within your community, we are dedicated to helping local economies thrive through local spending and engagement.
How do you keep my information private?
Membership in Merge Local communities is currently by invitation only. Any contact information that you choose to share through our marketplace is only available in your community.
We don't sell your personal information. We deploy security best practices in our web applications.
